Footage shows Chaka Zulu was jumped before deadly shooting outside Atlanta restaurant
Ludacris‘ longtime manager, Chaka Zulu, appears in recently released surveillance footage obtained by TMZ of a deadly Atlanta shooting. The video captures the moments before gunfire erupted outside of Chaka’s Atlanta restaurant, Apt4B.
In the clip, a group of men approach Chaka outside the restaurant, where a dispute reportedly made its way into the parking lot. One of the men, Tre’mon Robinson, had previously been asked to leave Apt4B, the outlet reports.
An argument ensues, and a man named Corey Crawford is spotted grabbing an object out of his car. He and his friends then join Robinson, who chest bumps Chaka, prompting the music executive to respond. As Chaka grabs Robinson, however, he’s attacked by Crawford and 23-year-old Artez Benton. Robinson, meanwhile, knocks Chaka’s assistant to the ground as she tries to help him, and Crawford hides between two vehicles.
Eventually, Chaka appears to fire his gun and hits Benton. Crawford then seems to follow with his own shots, one of which reportedly hit the music executive in the back. Benton, who’s seen crawling away in the footage, was struck in the chest. He later succumbed to his injuries.
Chaka is now facing charges of murder, aggravated assault, simple battery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. His lawyer, Gabe Bank, says Chaka acted in self-defense “after this gang repeatedly stomped, punched, and kicked him while he was on the ground in a defenseless posture.”

Nearly 10 years later, Kanye admits Sway did have the answers
Kanye West is willing to admit he was wrong when he famously told radio host Sway Calloway that he “aint got the answers.”
The rapper made mention of the 2013 interview when discussing the downfall of his relationship with Gap and Adidas.
“It was all kind of a disregard for the voice of something that I co-created. I co-created the product at Adidas. I co-created the product at Gap,” Ye told ABC News. “That means that I was there for some specific agenda, not for Yeezy Gap to be everything that it could be, or this dream that I had about what the Gap could be. It’s time for me to make my own thing.”
He then admitted, “I will go ahead and say, Sway had the answer.”
For some backstory, Ye vented to Sway in 2013 about the struggles he faced getting support from major corporations in the fashion industry. The host then encouraged him to push forward without the backing of those big businesses, prompting the now-viral response from Ye: “How Sway? You ain’t got the answers, man! You ain’t got the answers!”
Like the 2013 clip, Kanye’s admission has sparked many reactions on social media.
Kayne’s full interview airs Thursday night.

Offset announces release date for sophomore solo album
(Note Language) After teasing fans with singles “Code” and “54321,” Offset has announced the release date for his as-yet-titled sophomore solo album.
Taking to Twitter Wednesday, the rapper randomly shared a date — 11/11/22 — on his account and followed up with a tweet that clarified that’s the day he’ll be dropping his second record.
Offset’s new album will arrive nearly four years after 2019’s Father of 4, his debut solo LP. Aside from Moneybagg Yo, who is featured on “Code,” he’s collaborated with the likes of Metro Boomin, Southside and wife Cardi B for the project. He’s hoping to one day work with a rapper he considers to be a GOAT emcee in his hometown of Atlanta: André 3000.
During an interview with Complex, Offset directed a message to 3 Stacks: “André, I done sent you three songs,” said the Migos rapper. He noted “you gotta be selective” when choosing tracks for André, as he only jumps on “certain songs,” and generally praised his musical genius.
“I love his taste,” Offset said.
Offset’s new album will see the rapper discuss struggles relatable to the everyday person.
“When I came in, we came out the trenches, so that’s what people want to hear, because that’s what people go through every day,” he previously told SSENSE. “Ain’t nobody driving a Wraith.”
He continued, “[In] Black culture right now, and the world in general, the poors outweigh the rich one thousand percent. So you gotta talk about s*** that’s going on in real life. Just the real content of what people see every day. Go back to that.”

Lil Nas X talks about perfecting his new “Star Walkin'” anthem
Lil Nas X unleashed his new song “Star Walkin’,” the gaming anthem tailor-made for the League of Legends‘ 2022 Worlds Tournament, on Thursday.
The Grammy winner caught up with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe about the new hit and revealed he spent a lot of time toying around with its sound.
“Making this song was a lot of fun,” he explained. “I had the verses forever, and it took, no joke, 30 different, 40 different 50, I don’t know how many different hooks, to get the hook to a place where I’m, ‘Okay, this is something I like. That’s cool.'”
He added, “But overall I had a fun time in the studio. I had a fun time putting these pop elements and drill elements together.”
Lil Nas X said he wanted to make this song not because he’s a gamer, but because “I have a huge gamer fan base, and this is sick for them.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the hitmaker chatted about his run-in with Madonna at one of his shows. “It was a full circle moment because she brought me back to her show in 2019,” he described. “I didn’t actually get a chance to get a good conversation with her because I was about to go out onto the stage.”
Lil Nas X said he told Madonna he was dealing with some pre-show jitters, and she responded saying that “She’s going to be there and rooting for” him.
As for where he’s heading musically, he admitted, “My creative spirit is honestly in the garbage can. I want to be completely honest. But I feel like it’s coming back.”
Lil Nas X is “super confident” that whatever he makes next, it’ll be “the best s*** I’ve ever made thus far.”
